The publication includes collections of novels by N.V. Gogol (1809-1852) "Evenings on the Farm near Dikanka" (1831-1832) and "Myrhorod" (1835), which initiated the literary recognition of the writer. In these works, Gogol reproduced an amazing and fabulous image of Ukraine, reinforced by the stories of ancient legends, poeticized by the magical colorfulness of the Ukrainian word.
